Agressiva 69 is currently one of the popular and well - known rock and industrial groups. They are the music trend forerunners in Poland. In 1990 the group came into being and consisted of two musicians. Tomasz Grochola and Jacek Tokarczyk made it up. Just within two years later joined Robert Tula and a current leader of Agressiva 69, Bodek Pezda. The year 1992 was quite fortunate for the group. Then they played in the biggest rock meeting, the Jarocin Festival, where were perceived and their performance caused signing a contract with SPV Poland. The result of the co-operation was recording a debut album titled "Deus Ex Machina". Already in the same year the played on Odjazdy Festival. They made a performance on Jarocin Festival again in 1994 and started to prepare new album called Hammered by Gods, that was recognized by Brum periodical as the best industrial recording. The 1994 year was first of all the first edition of a mini festival Industrialloza, that took a place on the Rzeszow group own initiative. Beside Agressiva 69, that performanced as a star, played others, less or more known groups of the techno - industrial trend. The second festival edition took a place one year later in Wroclaw. The true Agressiva 69 carrier started after signing contract with KOCH International Poland in 1996, because besides creating new album, musicians but in particular the leaders of the group: Bodek Pezda and Slawek Leniart, established production team called 2.47. It's main activity was remixes production for Polish musicians, not only form the rock stage. To this time they worked between the others with such Polish groups as: Illusion, Tuff Enuff, Jesus Chrysler Suicide, Maanam, Kasia Nosowska and lastly with Headone, Formacja Niezywych Schabuff, Soyka. One of the most important events in the group history was a performance as a support on The Prodigy concert on 26.12.96. Agressiva 69 as the only one group was chosen and invited to perform their music in Spodek (Katowice). In spite of the fact, that they played unrewarding role as a support, they represented world quality and they met with warm reception of, after all, Prodigy audience. In April of the last year was release of the 2.47 album, next the artists signed contract on the mentioned album for the western market (Germany, Austria, Netherland). The Agressiva 69
musicians also played a main role in the movie trade. It's single titled
Point of View, that's premiere was on 9th of February 98 was registered
on the soundtrack to Marcin Ziebinski's GNIEW movie. There was produced
also videoclip to this music. In the times, when techno is very popular, Agressiva 69 performances are looked forward to the audience. It concerns not only their appearance during Techno Party, even they are common, but also during separate performances then they are leaders of a show. Even more and more artists dabble in techno music, not a lot of them stay really perceived and achieve popularity. However Agressiva 69 is a legend on the market and I suppose that many people would confirm that they are the best techno-industrial group in Poland. This opinion was confirmed by music market (musicians, journalists, music companies employee) who unanimous took a decision about awarding them nomination to Fryderyk (Polish Grammy Awards) in The Best Album Techno category for their last 2.47 album. Agressiva 69 is the only one techno group nominated to this award. This is a great achievement and even the statuette got to another artist, the group is proud to be highly commended, because Fryderyk is the most important award of the Polish music market. The next great undertaking of the group is release of the remixed Agressiva 69 pieces made by DJs. The recording was enclosed to the XL magazine in April.( 50.000 issue) In the same month '98 appeared additionally one single of the group. Following months '98 the musicians spent arduously. Firstly, just after the Fryderyk gala, was organised press tour around the Poland, but on the end of June musicians set out on the lasting several days tour with DJ Greg Crack. Summer they spent on the stage. After the performances started to work with their new album. Before, however, in the middle of July released limited version of the recordings 2,47 (1000 pieces) called Limited Edition. It includes materials from the 2.47 album but recorded completely in English. This unusual album was one of the best-published items on the Polish musician market. The summer last year was spent on the numerous performances, generally abroad. They played in Luxemburg and Germany, where they took a part in the one of the biggest independent festival ZILLO in Hildesheim near Hanover, where about 40.000 spectators admired their performance. They played in the as superb companionship as Paradise Lost, New Model Army ...... In 1999 the five pieces from the Hammered by Gods album was used to new Polish movie called Poniedzialek( Monday) , where acts between the others as well known actors as Bolec and Pawel Kukiz.
